Background

RMI is a privately held fabless semiconductor company founded in 2002. RMI was founded to develop high-performance power-optimized solutions to combat the growing challenges in the enterprise and infrastructure markets. The company's silicon solutions have grown to include a Family of Power-Optimized Processors and mid-range solutions for the Wireless Base-Station markets. The company is backed by several venture-capital firms and financial institutions, including Warburg Pincus, Advanced Equities Financial, Duff Ackerman and Goodrich, Benchmark Capital and Kodiak Venture Partners.
