RMI Expands Board of Directors with Finance Executive
Former financial leader of some of the world’s largest technology and manufacturing
organizations, Richard Wallman brings strengths in technology and services industries to
RMI
Cupertino, CA, March 26, 2008 — RMI Corporation, a leading supplier of multi-core,
multi-threaded processors for communications and consumer applications, today
announced that it has expanded its board of directors to include Richard Wallman,
retired senior vice president and chief financial officer of Honeywell, International, Inc.
Mr. Wallman, who will serve as chairman of the audit committee of the board, brings to
RMI an extensive finance background in the technology and services industries as well
as strong management and operational capabilities honed through a successful career
at Honeywell and its predecessor, AlliedSignal Inc., as well as at IBM Corporation. The
new director joins RMI’s board during a period of rapid business growth and will help
guide the well-diversified product and technology company as it accelerates its
worldwide marketing strategy.
RMI recently expanded the size of its board of directors to seven members. In addition
to Mr. Wallman, RMI’s board includes newly appointed members, Donald Schrock,
former group president at Qualcomm, Inc. and Michael Thurk, chief operating officer at
Avaya, Inc., as well as existing board members, Behrooz Abdi, president and chief
executive officer, RMI Corporation, Joe Landy, co-president, Warburg Pincus, LLC,
Bruce Dunlevie, senior partner at Benchmark Capital, and Henry Kressel, partner and a
senior managing director of Warburg Pincus, LLC.

Mr. Wallman brings an extensive track record in financial leadership at some of the
largest successful public companies in the technology sector. Mr. Wallman is the former
senior vice president and chief financial officer of Honeywell International Inc., and its
predecessor, AlliedSignal Inc. – one of the world’s largest technology innovators. Other
previous experience includes executive positions at IBM Corporation (vice president and
controller), Chrysler Corporation and Ford Motor Company. Mr. Wallman currently
serves on the boards of directors at Ariba, Convergys, Hayes Lemmerz International,
Lear Corporation, Roper Industries, and Bausch & Lomb. He has an MBA from the
University of Chicago and a BSEE from Vanderbilt University.
