Mobile Phone Leader Selects RMI’s Alchemy Au1250 Media Processor for Sophia Nani –
Full-Featured PMP with Touchscreen Display

Power-Optimized Solution from RMI Provides Sophia Nani Integration and
Rich Features for Revolutionary PMP Phone

Tokyo, Japan, October 29, 2007 — Raza Microelectronics®, Inc. (RMI®), a leading supplier of processors for communications and consumer applications, today announced that Sophia Mobile, a leader in multimedia infotainment devices for automotive and consumer markets, has selected the RMI Alchemy™ Au1250 Processor for its first full-featured PMP mobile phone with touch screen display.

The Sophia Nani, unveiled at the Wireless Japan 2007 event in July, is a full-featured PMP phone that integrates multimedia capabilities including Wi-Fi, camera, TV tuner, and Video. Powered by Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, the Nani features a 4.3” touch screen display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, Dual Cameras (VGA in front, SVGA in the rear), and a fully integrated digital TV tuner as well as a GPS navigation system.

The Alchemy Au1250 gives system designers an easy-to-use, simple solution to create full-featured portable solutions with greatly reduced design cycle times. The System-on-a-Chip (SoC) architecture integrates with the widest number of peripheral components on the market, resulting in a significant reduction in total bill of materials.
